I am getting married to an Italian citizen, and I'd like to know the process for naturalising to Italy.

(1) How soon after getting married can I apply for permanent residency or Italian citizenship?
(2) From what's out there on the web, which is the most trustworthy resources and sites for registration?
(3) What are the general requirements that will allow me a smoother transition, other than the financial requirements?
