Financial Considerations France has the world's fifth largest economy by nominal figures. According to the World Bank, France has a GDP of US$ 2,613 billion in 2013, which works out at US$ 39,772 per capita. There was no change in France's GDP between 2012 and 2013. Inflation is 2% in terms of the consumer price index (CPI) and 1.5% in terms of the GDP deflator.
