Relocation in France

Relocation France has the sixth-largest economy in the world and, in recent decades, has attracted many immigrants, especially from its former colonies in North and West Africa. France’s net migration (the number of immigrants minus the number of emigrants) is at 130,000 per year. To compare this figure with other countries, the net migration rate is used. France has a net migration rate of +1.09 migrants per 1,000 population, putting it in 59th place out of the 222 territories in the world.

In terms of internal migration, an annual average of 1% of the population move to France’s urban and suburban areas, adding to the 85% of the population who currently live in a city or town. (source: CIA World Factbook).
