Healthcare The CIA World Factbook reveals that Germany has 3.53 physicians and 8.2 hospital beds per 1,000 people, and the average German citizen has a life expectancy of 80.32 years (78.04 for men & 82.72 for women). The OECD states that 8.7% of Germany's GDP is spent on public health, with a further 2.7% of GDP spent on private health.
