Healthcare The CIA World Factbook reveals that India has 0.6 physicians and 0.9 hospital beds per 1,000 people, and the average Indian person has a life expectancy of 67.48 years (66.38 for men & 68.7 for women). The OECD states that 1.2% of India's GDP is spent on public health, with a further 2.9% of GDP spent on private health.
