Healthcare The CIA World Factbook reveals that Spain has 3.71 physicians and 3.2 hospital beds per 1,000 people, and the average Spanish person has a life expectancy of 81.37 years (78.37 for men & 84.57 for women). The OECD states that 7.1% of Spain's GDP is spent on public health, with a further 2.5% of GDP spent on private health.
