Financial Considerations The United Kingdom, and London in particular, is a major financial center. It has the third largest economy in Europe after Germany and France, and the the sixth largest in the world measured by nominal GDP. According to the World Bank, the UK has a GDP of US$ 2,435 billion in 2013 (growing annually at 0.3%), which works out at US$ 38,500 per capita. Inflation is 2.8% in terms of the consumer price index (CPI) and 1.4% in terms of the GDP deflator.
