Hi Guys,

I am thinking of venturing out of Hong Kong and heading into China for my holidays.

I would like to see the best sights possible for as little money as possible as I am on a budget. What would be the best means of travel? Where would people recommend staying, eating and visiting?

I am looking to go in January, no where is off limits as I prefer colder weather.

Any ideas would be welcome!

Thanks!

It's pretty cheap to get a train from Hong Kong to Xiamen and then on to Mount Wuyi.

If you are after a more relaxing jaunt, you could head down to Hainan. And if you decide you want to travel a bit further, I'd recommend a trip to the west of China and a tour of the Silk Road.
