Business Optimism In Qatar Hits Three-Year High

The Dun & Bradstreet Business Optimism Index for Qatar reached its highest point for nearly three years (11 quarters) in the fourth quarter of 2013.

The Qatar Financial Center Authority-sponsored survey also shows that business optimism in the country's Finance, Real Estate and Business Services sector reached a three-year high, having grown 15.4 percent year-on-year in the period.

The country's consolidated non-hydrocarbon sector also experienced strong growth in business optimism, reaching 53 points on the index, up 14 points from the previous quarter and 15 points from a year earlier.

The index also reveals that the profitability expectations of the Finance, Real Estate & Business Services sector rose to 58 points in the fourth quarter of this year from 21 points in the corresponding period of 2012.
