The latest annual expat survey by InterNations shows that Ecuador has retained the top spot in its ranking of the most favorable places for expats for 2015.

The survey ranked 64 countries on quality of life, ease of settling in, working abroad, family life, and personal finance. It also compares the most popular destinations for expat men and women and looks at conditions for spouses who accompany their partners when they relocate for work.

Overall, Ecuador came out as the best country for expat life, repeating the result of 2014. Mexico climbed from a good third place in 2014 to an even better second place this year. Malta, which only entered the country ranking in 2015, holds third place. Luxembourg, the second country on the podium in 2014, came in fifth this year.

In 2014, the bottom three countries were Greece, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Kuwait remains the least popular destination among the 64 countries.
