Global X Funds Lists Three ETFs On Colombian SE

New York-based exchange-traded funds (ETF) provider Global X Funds announced that it listed three ETFs on Colombia's stock exchange, Bolsa de Valores de Colombia, on November 26, 2013.

The Global X FTSE Colombia 20 ETF, the Global X Guru Index ETF, and the Global X SuperDividend ETF became the first foreign ETFs to ever list on the Colombian exchange.

The Global X FTSE Colombia 20 ETF is one of its parent company's six Latin America-based ETFs, and it was the first to offer investors access to the Colombian markets. The Global X Guru Index ETF has nearly USD300m in assets and aims to provide access to investment strategies from some of the top hedge funds. The Global X SuperDividend ETF has nearly USD800m in assets and tracks the highest dividend-paying equity securities worldwide.

Jose Gonzalez, the Chief Operating Officer of Global X Funds, said that the company is "committed to broadening the accessibility of ETF products in growing regions around the world."

Global X Funds has USD2.5bn in managed assets and more than 100,000 investors from over 100 countries as of October 31, 2013. Its ETFs target Income, International, Commodity Producers, Industry, and Alternative fund suites.
