UK Investors Back New PE Exchange

By Editorial 08 November, 2013

A number of United Kingdom-based early stage investors have given their backing to a new online platform called JustInvesting, the UK's first private equity exchange focusing on early-stage ventures.

The platform, which launched on November 04, 2013, has secured GBP750,000 (USD1.2m) in seed funding from UK investors including Robin Klein of The Accelerator Group and Index Ventures; Edward Wray, co-founder of Betfair; and a number of senior finance industry executives. It also has the backing of Angel CoFund.

JustInvesting integrates all aspects of the investment process into a single platform and provided online tools to facillitate the entire investment life cycle, from discovery, investment, management, to exit. It will also provide companies with easier access to growth capital.

"The process of investing into early stage ventures is too often complex, fragmented and therefore restrictive to the development of the UK's angel market. JustInvesting is going to provide a much-needed toolset for active angel investors and investment firms, and we expect it to be instrumental in building the market for small business capital."
