UK's Dubai Visa Centers To Offer Premium Services

The British Embassy in Dubai has launched two new "top-tier" services for those applying for UK visas, including a "Platinum Lounge" at the visa application center in Wafi Mall, Dubai, and a call-out application processing service.

The "Platinum Lounge" is the first of its kind for the UK. For a GBP435 (USD620) premium, the package includes a chauffeur service to and from the center and a private booth to wait in while the application process is taken care of.

Meanwhile, the "on-demand mobile biometric service" gives applicants the option to complete their visa application from a location of their choosing. The service costs GBP750 for an individual, with discounted bespoke pricing for groups.

Emirati visitors to the UK can still use the electronic visa waiver (EVW) service for trips lasting up to six months. A single entry EVW can be obtained online, without having to attend a visa application centre. However, UAE passport holders who travel regularly, or at short notice, may find it more convenient to obtain a multi-entry visa, as EVWs must be obtained at least 48 hours before departure.
