Western Union Expands Services In Europe

Western Union money transfer services are now available at UAE Exchange retail outlets in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with services in Munich, Germany, and Rotterdam, the Netherlands, to follow soon.

The move means that customers can use the outlets to arrange cash pay-outs in more than 200 countries and territories, as well as Direct-to-Bank transfers to 40 countries (including India, China, Nigeria, Pakistan, Australia, and Japan) and Direct-to-Mobile-wallet transfers to ten countries (including the Philippines, Bangladesh, Kenya, Afghanistan, and Indonesia). Western Union services are popular with expats as a quick way to send money to, and receive money from their home countries when living abroad.

Lakshmi Narayanan, for UAE Exchange Europe, said that the move is a natural extension of UAE Exchange's existing relationship with Western Union in the Middle East and North Africa.

In the UK, UAE Exchange has ten branches in London, as well as outlets in Leicester, Birmingham, and Wolverhampton. The London outlets are in Soho Square, in the center, and in Whitechapel, East Ham, Ilford, Manor Park, Forest Gate, Walthamstow, Southall, Croydon, and Wembley. The Dublin outlet is in Tallaght.
