When it comes to America, there are hundreds of places that you can visit, but there are some holiday locations that are just that little bit better than others – depending on what you’re looking for. Whether you want to explore some detailed history, head to one of the most powerful cities in the world or you want to try out the novelty rollercoasters that so many family holidays have revolved around over the years. If you’re heading to America for a holiday, then it is important to have an ESTA visa with you in order to enter the country, if you’re home country qualifies for the Visa Waiver Program. Whether you’re a tourist or an expat in America looking for a new location to visit for the holidays, we’ve put together a list of some of the best holiday locations to choose from in America.

Orlando, Florida

If you’re seeking a holiday which is full of things to do, theme parks to visit and alligators to see then Orlando, Florida is the perfect place for you. This is one of the best family holiday locations, but also constitutes as one of the best holiday locations for solo travel and couples too. The theme parks are not to be missed with some of the most popular including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World Parks & Entertainment and many more. On top of this, there’s plenty of unique things to do outside of the theme parks such as Gatorland, Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Orlando Odditorium, Wet n Wild and much more to enjoy.

California

There’s so much to explore in the state of California that it’s difficult to know where to start. IF you’re looking for Hollywood Glitz then Los Angeles is the stop off place for you. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a fantastic photo opportunity then the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is without a doubt one of the best holiday locations. Here, you can experience the hilly city and its year round fog in style with cable cars to take you around the entire city. If you’re interested in history, then Alcatraz Island is one of the most notorious stop offs and the prison is certain to give you chills as you take a tour around it. If you want to take a holiday in harmony with nature, then you can camp out under the starts and watch the sun set at the Grand Canyon.

Cherokee Park, Colorado

Take a step into the shoes of a cowboy in the heart of northern Colorado. You will feel right at home on the range, and you can swing into a saddle and ride under the mountains. This is the perfect place for people who really enjoy nature and want a truly authentic holiday experience. Not only can you ride your horse, no matter how much of a beginner or expert you are, you can also go square-dancing,, hike and fish, and then wind up your day in  the comfort of your very own log cabin in the park. This is one of the most beautiful parts of America, and is the perfect location for a holiday.

This is a very informative blog. America is an amazing country overall. I have visited a few times and couldn't say which part of America is my favourite! Each part of America has different things for different people so for example, Florida is perfect for a family with children.
